Massage Envy Spa Preston Park Village Reaping Benefits of Popularity

The Plano Preston Park Village site is the first in the DFW area to incorporate new Massage Envy specifications for color schemes. “It’s a relaxed and welcoming environment where our clients will feel right at home,” Mr. McGovern said. “We’ve evolved from a neighborhood location to a regional resource for spa and massage services.”

The Massage Envy Spa – Preston Park Village therapists offer specialized massage expertise, including pre-natal, hot stone, reflexology and trigger points. To attract experienced therapists, the McGoverns offer employment packages that include major medical and paid vacations for full-time employees. All four of the McGovern’s clinics are actively hiring certified massage therapists, certified estheticians and sales associates.

Winners of numerous Massage Envy awards for excellence in franchising, the McGoverns were the first Massage Envy franchisees in the DFW area, opening their Old Town site on Greenville Avenue in Dallas in 2005. Within the Massage Envy universe, the Rowlett Massage Envy Spa latest achievement may be a first – for the third consecutive year, the Regional Therapist of the Year has been chosen from the Rowlett clinic. Alisyn Schreiber is the 2011 honoree. And the clinic, owned by Dr. Richard and April Klics, won’t even celebrate its fifth anniversary until March 16, 2012.

Alisyn currently is Lead Therapist at Massage Envy Spa Rowlett and has been full time with the clinic for two years. She is a very busy woman. In 2011, she performed almost 1500 hours of massage in addition to scheduling, hiring and training massage therapists. A popular therapist, requested therapist bookings make up 65 percent of her schedule.

Schreiber said, “I am so excited and honored. I love my job and helping people, and I am so lucky to be able to make a living doing something I love. Then to win an award like this – I could hardly sleep for days after I found out. I am so happy I came to work for Massage Envy Spa in Rowlett.”

Dr. Klics commented, “Alisyn has grown a lot in the last year as a person and a therapist. Though she is still quite young, she impresses everyone she meets with her knowledge and experience. She regularly initiates and works on community projects in order to help those in need. But best of all, Alisyn always has a big smile and words of encouragement for everyone she sees. Staff and clients alike love her for her knowledge and appreciate her patience and kindness.”

She joins 2009 Regional Therapist of the Year Jason Michaels and 2010 Regional Therapist of the Year Nina Almandarez. Both are still with Massage Envy Spa Rowlett. Having three Therapists of the Year on staff is both a special accomplishment and source of pride for the clinic.

“The first time was a shock, we really didn’t expect it since there are so many large and successful clinics in the DFW region,” says Dr. Klics. “The second year we knew that we had all worked hard and felt so honored and humbled to have won the award in back to back years. But to win it for a third straight year is just beyond words. I am so proud of my people and all their hard work and dedication to the profession. Alisyn is looking forward to attending the annual conference Massage Envy Corporate holds in Phoenix, Arizona, each year. The Regional Therapists of the Year from all around the country are honored at an awards ceremony.
